The Granary

The Granary

Used to store the produce grown and harvested in the Tagax, the Granary is a grand vault in the
Solbatik District carved out of hewn ice and rock.  It houses the large part of the Stronghold’s produce,
and therefore is guarded day and night by some of the  finest fighters accompanied by cragghounds. Inside
the arched repository, shelves with storage pots reach all the way to the ceiling, alcoves filled to
the brim with wheat, grains and other produce, line the walls. Under the watchful eye of a brusque
overseer, groups of workers, toil away tirelessly, selecting and storing produce, preparing meat
with salt crystals for conservation, inspecting and portioning seeds and crafting sacks and pottery for
storage.

A revered cult overseen by the Uldurian Elder, governs the production of food in the Tagax
grounds. The head of this cult is a powerful mage, using magic to artificially maintain the yearly
growth of crops. Unknown to the populace, the amount of food they can grow every year is
dwindling slowly, but surely. Whether a curse of by the ancestors, or anger of the gods, it’s clear
the land is rejecting the magic used to grow food. Sacrifices and quests have done nothing.
